The number of Society faithful is significant. In fact, if everyone would donate a little each time a new church was constructed, together we could accomplish a lot. The parishioners of Our Lady of Sorrows raised more than $3.1million toward this $4 million project. As with all the missions and parishes within the United States, it is very difficult to raise 100 percent of the funds without an appeal to other parishes. We need your help.
To prevent over-solicitation, the Society is managing construction appeals. The Society authorized and supports the construction of this church. The Society also strongly supports and appreciates your consideration to donate to its construction.
In the United States, this is one of the few current projects of this size. Ground was broken and construction is underway.
Whether you live in Phoenix or may someday visit, there will be a proper and beautiful traditional Catholic church for the benefit of your soul—and everyone else's.
The Parish has diligently raised almost all the needed funds. With your help, fundraising will soon be finished!

The PropertyOur Lady of Sorrows was established in 1980 when a small group of traditionalists purchased the current church site from a Protestant denomination. Over the years, Sunday attendance has steadily grown to an average of 550 faithful. The property is 10.8 acres. It is primarily comprised of the current Protestant-designed church, a growing K-12 Catholic school for 75 students, and a 34-room retreat house. Retreatants come from across North America to attend one or more of fourteen retreats each year. Phoenix also annually hosts one of the two priests' retreats. More than 35 priests and usually a bishop are in attendance. The site also has a priory, other living quarters, a large athletic field, and an orange grove. Four priests reside at Our Lady of Sorrows. They serve the parish as well as nearby missions.
